In record-breaking time the group of TENSO-M specialists installed and put into operation two sets of SVK weighing-in-motion system at “ADLER-KRASNAYA POLYANA” and “DZHUBGA-SOCHI” highways.

SVK WIM system measures axle loads, gross weight, vehicle speed and axle distance in motion at speeds up to 140km/h. It also detects vehicles, which height exceeds the allowed one. No traffic stop required while using SVK WIM system at the vehicle mass control station, only overweight vehicles are targeted and stopped.

At the same time at the stations TENSO-M installed VA-D truck scales for in-motion weighing.

A large amount of work was done by FKU Uprdor “Kuban” (Federal Public Institution on highways control in Krasnodar krai), which quickly built the vehicle mass control station and isnatlled all the equippment, prepared the pavement and foundations for VA-D scales, mounted control boxes, height sensors, supports for speed cameras and laid power and fibre-optic cables.

It was the first time TENSO-M installed the maximum packaging of ROGATKA complex, which consist of SVK WIM system and VA-D scales. This time the complex included a publicity board in additional packaging. Vehicle license number is displayed on the board and the arrow “to the right” appears directing the overload vehicle to have a more precise weighing at the station. The board can display up to three license numbers at once. The publicity board changes its brightness depending on the brightness level outside (night, day, bright sun, etc.).

TENSO-M systems recognize license-plate numbers within the day and night much better than some foreign analog, the recognition accuracy is approaching to 100%! This is the result of the experience we’ve accumulated by  constant improvement of hardware and software of the systems. It is also worth saying that as of today SVK is the only WIM system with no traffic stop certified by the Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology of the Russian Federation (ROSSTANDART) and included in the State list of measuring equipment of the Russian Federation.

SVK WIM systems and VA-D truck scales were set according to weights class 4, calibrated according to standard two-axial vehicle with a bow spring and were approved by ROSSTANDART from the first time. OOO “Measuring systems” specialists, our representatives in Krasnodar krai, assisted much at all the stages of work. Under the agreement a group of inspectors from the Administration of state vehicular control in Krasnodar krai was trained to operate the system and its software. They are planning to start systems’ operation in the beginning of new 2012.

So the whole TENSO-M team — a multiple-skill group of installers, service engineers and programmers, plus production workers and developers, who worked under development and manufacturing of system components at KRASKOVO plant — won our first Olympic victory long before SOCHI-2014 Olympic Games opening!

ROGATKA for weight check at the road

The seminar under the title of “Metrological assurance, repair and maintenance of large capacity scales” was held on December, 15 in the assembly hall of Federal Budgetary Institution “Krasnodar Centre for Standardization, Metrology and Certification”. It was initiated by the Centre employees with TENSO-M specialists participation and conducted for metrologists and technicians of industrial enterprises, agriculture and construction industries.

A.G.Gubar, the head of verification and calibration department for mechanical measuring instruments, reported on the new GOST R 53228-2008 “Non-automatic weighing instruments. Metrological and technical requirements. Tests.” The other speaker, V.I.Datsenko, the head of measuring instruments test department, reported on features of tests performance with the purpose of large capacity scales type approval in respect of the problems in practical metrology.

M.V.Senyanskiy, the chairman of TC-310, made a report under the subject “New GOST-R 53228-2008 features for users and scales manufacturers”. Using practical examples he explained, why the new GOST-R will help the consumers to weigh the raw material and products more precisely and to protect them against ‘unfair’ scales purchase.

K.E.Solntsev, the head of weighing and batching department, reported on a range of hopper scales and batchers for free-flowing materials weighing. The attendees were pleasantly surprised by a number of equipment covering the major industry and agriculture demand in weighing and accounting of the most different materials — from grain and products made of grain to cement, mixtures for construction purposes and chemical agents.

Our prospective consumers leant about TENSO-M newest developments at the seminar, which confirmed that our company is the biggest producer of weighing equipment in Russia and has one of the best team of developers in the world on weighing and batching equipment, load cells and electronics. The seminar was a good ending of 2011 successful for TENSO-M in all the aspects!

In October, 2011 TENSO-M delivered to the mill a large lot of weigh batchers ordered by OOO Voronezhmelservice. The delivery included 13 Alfa tray-type batchers for continuous feeding of grain, DLT version, different capacity; Potok-150 hopper automatic scales; and two Gamma-150 bag fillers for flour batching, among them one of high capacity with double batchers.

Three Alfa-40-2 batchers, DLT-40 version, up to 40t/h capacity, are designed to prepare mill mixes in the flow on the mill elevator. Ten batchers from 4 up to 10t/h capacity will be installed in grain cleaning section of the mill.

This is not the first full delivery completed within the last three years. Earlier we informed you about sale and putting into operation of large lots of Alfa DLT-16 batchers for continuous feeding of grain at 500-tons mills at Saburovo, Tambov oblast, Russia (14pcs), at Starooskolsk grain production centre (24pcs) and Kursk grain production centre (20pcs).

Along with our best sellers — automatic scales and filling batchers, the tray-type batchers for continuous feeding achieved a firm position in the mill market of batching equipment. The total scope of tray-type batchers sold to grain processing, distillation and other industries has already exceeded 200pcs. High reliability of batchers is confirmed by almost no reclamation reports received taking into account the quantity of batchers in operation. Good metrology and a wide range of functions let them work steadily in Automation control system, as well as in conjunction with imported equipment made by famous world brands.

TENSO-M introduces a new product — mass comparator. It is designed to compare weights with standard weights. The comparator is used to calibrate and to check weights, 20kg or 50kg nominal weight, M1 accuracy class. The metrological specifications of the comparator fully correspond to the requirements of GOST 8.021-2005 «State verification schedule for mass measuring instruments» and International recommendation OIML R111-2004 «Weights of classes E1, E2, F1, F2, M1, M1-2, M2, M2-3 и М3».

The mass comparator has a special highly precise load cell designed and produced by TENSO-M. This load cell let us considerably reduce the error due to off-centre load application.

Moreover, a new weighing indicator with 200,000 division resolution was developed and produced for the mass comparator.

Components from the best world manufacturers used and original technologies applied ensure the high quality of the mass comparator. That is why the main features of the comparator are: high reliability, stable operation, superior metrological specifications.

VitOMEK, a new premix plant in Likhoslavl, Tver oblast, Russia, is in operation now. A large part of design works were made by TENSO-M. Also our company supplied the plant with a series of multicomponent batchers and Automation control system. All in all it took TENSO-M 9 months to design and launch the equipment into production operation.

The newest scientific developments and nanotechnologies are used at the plant. The premixes produced at VitOMEK are valuable for the Russian livestock sector as microelements as a part of organic compounds are applied instead of badly digested microelements from sulfate groups. The a-m. compounds (asparaginates) are digested by livestock and poultry to 95-100%.

The filling of KMD service hoppers designed for various chemical elements is automated ideally, so mixing and re-grading, plus unsanctioned loading are excluded. KMD batchers are fully adapted to the properties of the initial raw material and equipped by the devices for flow rate dynamic stabilization and have adaptive batching algorithms.

Innovation technologies, high-technology multicomponent batchers in combination with modern, multi-level automatic process control system provide a flexible production of a wide range of premixes in accordance with valid international standards and regulations.

There is an article published on Federal Highway Agency website about Multigrade asphalt cement used for road pavement in remote areas from asphalt concrete mixing plants.

In 2008 TENSO-M engineers developed a mobile cold asphalt mixing machine called MUKHA to pave the roads by Multigrade asphalt cement. Check this link to see the photos of MUKHA in operation.

MUKHA is designed for cold asphalt cement batching, preparing of black crushed-stone, mixing of different grain size crushed-stone, stabilized soils, plus for various materials mixing — soil, crushed stone, sand, cement, chips after bituminous concrete surface milling, lime carbonate and different mineral additives. The installation is mobile that enables to start the production of the cold mixture in a short period of time in any region or directly at the object under construction.

TENSO-M participation in YugAgro-2011 exhibition, the most wide-scale agro-industrial trade show of autumn, was successfully completed. This time 627 companies from 26 countries were exhibited there. The exposition was located in 7 pavilions and at open areas with a total area of more than 26 thous. sq. m.

At our booth we showed a new modification of FARMER truck scales. Scales’ platform was increased up to 7m, and their capacity — up to 40t. The extended scales were developed specially for the agricultural producers. Currently their vehicle fleet was considerably renewed and some 3-axle trucks do not fit the standard 5.8m platform of FARMER scales.

The renewed VA FARMER scales continue a number of recent developments exhibited by us this autumn. On November, 17th the Interdepartmental commission had a meeting on a new national force standard acceptance at D.I.Mendeleyev VNIIM in Saint-Petersburg. The commission was represented by the Department of Metrology and the leading organizations from the   Federal Agency on Technical Regulating and Metrology (ROSSTANDART) and industry and, among them, VNIIM scientists and TENSO-M directors, who created the standard.

Now the upper limit of force unit realization in the new national standard will be much higher — 9 MN (approx. 900t) instead of 1MN! It includes 4 standard installations with force values realization range from 10N to 1MN, plus a set of portable force comparators with measuring instruments. They transfer force unit value by force standard machines in the range up to 9MN. These comparators were developed and made by TENSO-M Weight Measuring Company upon VNIIM request.

New electronic tension and compression dynamometers of special construction are equipped by additional channels for torques measuring. This made it possible to achieve excellent results in residual relative constant error value, which equals to ±1×10-5 (±0.001%) and relative extended uncertainty in force realization 1.6×10-5! Component tension and compression comparators were produced up to 3, 5 and 9MN. In the result of the works fulfilled the transfer range of force unit value was 9 times extended and the transfer error was considerably reduced!

The comparison of national standards in Russia and Germany (PTB) performed by VNIIM scientists in summer 2011 within the range from 1MN up to 2MN revealed that as of now Russia is on one level with the leading European countries regarding the precision of force unit realization.

In October TENSO-M specialists put into operation two SVK weighing-in-motion systems at M6 Highway “Caspian”. SVK system is designed for preliminary measurement of axis loads and the full weight of vehicles without traffic stop. The maximum speed for weighing is 140 km/h. The systems are installed in two directions on the highway.

Vehicle mass control station, which is located between the two SVK WIM systems, is also equipped by VA-D truck scales for in-motion weighing. If SVK system detects an overweight vehicle, the data id transmitted to the station where staff makes a decision to stop it for more precise weighing. The complex, which consists of SVK signal system and VA-D truck scales for axis weighing in-motion, we call ROGATKA (slingshot in English).

The systems installed at M6 Caspian Highway have an extended range of software functions and improved specifications. Application of these systems will permit to avoid the traditional traffic speed reduction in front of the station and to increase the road capacity.
